Frequently Asked Questions

The questions couples and event planners ask most, answered plainly.

How far in advance should we book?

There’s no set rule, but I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings during the busy season. Popular dates can fill up months in advance. If you already have your date picked, reach out and let’s see if I’m available!

What's included in the wedding package?

My wedding package includes professional sound and lighting, a wireless microphone, customized music based on your preferences, and DJ/MC services throughout your event. You can see the full package details and any available add-ons on the Services page.

Do you bring backup equipment?

Absolutely. I come prepared for the unexpected, and a backup setup is always on-site so that equipment issues don't turn into problems for you or your guests. My goal is for you to enjoy your event without having to worry about the technical side of things.

Can we request specific songs, or avoid certain ones?

Of course! Your music should feel like your event. Before the event, you’ll have the opportunity to provide songs you definitely want to hear, songs you want me to avoid, and any other music preferences. I’ll use that information to build a playlist that fits your style while still reading the room and keeping the energy going.

Do you offer corporate event pricing?

Yes. Corporate events can vary quite a bit depending on the event size, location, hours, equipment, and overall scope. Because of that, I provide custom quotes for corporate events. Reach out with the details of your event and I’ll be happy to put together an estimate.

What if our date is already listed as unavailable?

Still reach out! My availability can change, and I may also be able to connect you with another trusted DJ from my network. I’d rather help you find the right fit for your event than leave you searching on your own.

Is a deposit required to book?

Yes. A 20% retainer is required to reserve your date. Once the retainer and agreement are completed, your date is officially booked and reserved for your event. The remaining balance is due no later than the day of the event.

Do you charge travel fees?

Events within 40 miles of my service area have no additional travel fee. Events beyond 40 miles may have a flat travel fee based on the distance and location of your venue. Any applicable travel fees will always be included in your quote upfront, so there are no surprises.

What happens if we need you to stay longer?

If you'd like to extend your event and I'm available to stay, overtime is available at $200 per additional hour. I'll always confirm the additional time and cost with you before extending the event.

How does the booking process work?

It's pretty simple. Start by checking my availability and sending me some basic details about your event. I'll get back to you with availability and a quote, and we can go over any questions you have. Once you're ready to move forward, a 20% retainer and signed agreement officially reserve your date. From there, we'll work together on the music and event details so everything is ready for your big day.

When is the final payment due?

The remaining balance is due no later than the day of your event. You're welcome to take care of it earlier, but I want to make the process as simple and stress-free as possible.
